Applying to US and Canada jobs from Europe and the UK
European candidates often have the experience North American employers want but not the work authorization. Bridgefit benchmarks your resume against the people already in the role and lays out the routes Europeans actually use.

What Bridgefit shows you
- A realistic match level (Strong, Possible, Stretch or Unlikely) for a specific North American posting.
- Where you sit compared with the typical background of people already in that role: prior employers, degrees and years of experience at hire. Aggregate only, never individual names.
- A prioritized gap plan and similar roles ranked by fit.
Visa routes for European citizens
- No TN or E-3: these fast routes are limited to Canadian, Mexican and Australian citizens, so most Europeans go through H-1B, L-1 or O-1 for the US.
- L-1 internal transfer: London, Berlin, Paris, Dublin and Amsterdam offices of US companies are common launch points.
- O-1: a realistic option for senior people with documented achievements such as awards, publications, press or top-of-market pay.
- Canada: International Experience Canada covers many European countries, EU citizens can use CETA professional categories, and Express Entry leads to permanent residence.
Time zones
- Central Europe is 6 hours ahead of New York and 9 hours ahead of San Francisco, and the UK is 5 and 8. That leaves a usable afternoon overlap with the US East Coast.
Reading the salary
- Bridgefit converts posted ranges to EUR or GBP using a dated rate snapshot. US packages are usually higher in cash but come with less paid leave and employer-linked health insurance.
